Job description

Your role:

Our DevOps team is currently evolving from the role of so-called 'executors' of assigned tasks into independent consultants. We are becoming those who verify, advise, and help developer teams in the implementation of a process, as well as provide support in choosing appropriate solutions. Apart they are actively participating in cloud migration projects, when landing zones have to be created and maintained. We are looking for a person with vast experience in DevOps area, who will be able to enrich our team by bringing a fresh perspective and broad, tacit knowledge.

Your role:

  • Define, create and maintain AWS Landing Zone for clients moving their workloads to AWS 
  • Create new libraries/scripts, maintain and improve tools and processes used to build, release and deploy our software products.
  • Advise development teams on application architecture and infrastructure. 
  • Share best practices with regards to CI/CD among our development community. 
Our technology and tools:
CI/CD GIT Linux or Windows system Java PostgreSQL Angular

You are The One, if you have:

  • Experience in building AWS Landing Zone from scratch (knowing best practices, experience with Control Tower);
  • Deep understanding of cloud computing, especially in AWS context: AWS Accounts, AWS Billing, Security, Data Transfer;
  • Knowledge of the most popular and widely used AWS services like: EC2, AWS Lambda, EKS or ECS, RDS, CloudWatch etc.;
  • Strong opinion on how cloud environment should look like;
  • Commercial experience in managing at least small-scale AWS environment;
  • Knowledge of infrastructure as a code (preferred Terraform, alternatively Cloud formation);
  • Knowledge of CI/CD processes and tools (preferred GitLab CI/CD, alternatively Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions) based on work experience;
  • Docker, Kubernetes;
  • Good speaking and writing English skills (min. B2).

Nice to have:

  • Experience in monitoring tools (cloud and non-cloud);
  • Networking;
  • Knowledge of cloud architecture patterns (any cloud provider, AWS pref.).

Recruitment process:

  3. The meeting is held remotely and takes the form of a video call. Apart from an HR Specialist, you will also meet people working in the Development area at Objectivity. This will be a great opportunity for you to get all the necessary information about the role, projects and opportunities in our company - directly from the people working in this role. We are also curious about your experiences and expectations, as well as your skills. 

  4. Finally, it is time for a reply. Our principle is to provide valuable feedback after the recruitment process. You will receive our observations and insights, regardless of the recruitment result. The time for providing feedback is a maximum of 2 weeks, but in most cases, we will get back to you within a week from our last meeting.

  5. Your opinion matters! We wouldn’t be able to improve our recruitment process without your support. Therefore, after completing the recruitment, we will ask you to leave your comment and opinion on our cooperation - in the form of a short questionnaire. Every month, we analyse the results and take action to make our recruitment process even better.
